Angling often use corn flakes as bait due to its attractiveness to many fish species, such as carp. Its texture and smell attract fish, and its size makes it suitable for use in both float and bottom fishing techniques. Corn flakes can thus increase the chances of a good catch, being an affordable and effective option.

Tips for making corn husk bait:

• Steam and boil the corn kernels until soft – They will give off a strong smell and will thus be more attractive to fish.
• Mix with other ingredients: wheat, barley or rye grains, – add a little vanilla or other flavors to increase the attractiveness of the bait.
• Put the mixture in a PVA bag – this will allow the bait to disperse on the bottom of the water, attracting fish to the hook.

Let the corn husk ferment for a few days. The fermentation will generate a strong smell that attracts fish, even from great distances.
